Introduction To anyone that is both a crypto and mainstream gaming enthusiast, it is no secret that mainstream gamers absolutely despise crypto gaming. They see the introduction of NFTs into gaming as another cash grab from greedy founders parading as Web3 futurists. Players are not entirely to blame for not being able to see the bigger picture. The crypto gaming industry could do a lot better in marketing their message to the public, targeting the mainstream industry, delivering finished games in a timely manner that are on par with games that are popular in the mainstream market, and weeding out bad actors that are looking to capitalize on this growing industry.
I'm not really into gaming (aside Imposters, which will be my first!! LoL) but a solid article, filled with valid points. Thanks for the info, I appreciate how much work goes into writing these newsletters. Keep on, many are reading :)
I started playing popular video games two years ago and I don't plan to quit anytime soon. I'm addicted, but it's so addictive! You can choose your character, customize the settings to your liking, and explore worlds with over 100 hours of gameplay! It really is a great game. servreality.com With the ability to play nft that maybe it's not worth wasting your time.
Thanks to you I bought two pieces of Land NFTs from Heroes of Mavia project/game. One thing to add to the challenges of mass adoption tho, is friction. Typical gamers just wanna log in and play. Will they be ok with having to buy some crypto, then buy the NFTs, then blah blah blah? Coinbase's NFT marketplace might be a good case study for how smooth the Web 3 process could be to people who don't care about self-custody, who just want things fast and easy. Don't know how long these platforms and apps will take to accomplish such, but judging by the gaming market numbers, I'm excited to be in early. Thx again buddy and God bless
